Recently we closed on a home in NW Indiana listed by F.C.Tucker 1st Team Real Estate.

Marketing a Home to the Masses to find a Ready, Willing and Able Buyer is only 1/2 the battle now a days in getting a home sold:)

The Lending guidelines are much tighter, so we continue to show our listed properties for back-up offers for our sellers, even if a buyer has a pre-approval letter submitted with the offer to purchase.

Going back on the market because of failure to obtain financing, this Northwest Indiana Home Listed by F.C.Tucker 1st Team Real Estate was known by Buyers agents for it's well maintained condition, and so we received another offer from the same REALTOR (different buyer),shortly after the 1st deal fell!

Lesson learned - THE HOME IS NOT SOLD until the loan is funded AND the DEED is signed over AT CLOSING.

Until then, at our sellers request we change the status on the MLS of all of our properties with an accepted offer to PS =Please SHOW -> for back-up offers!

The last play we saw at the Towle Theatre in Hammond, Indiana was a well executed comedy -> Ruthless

This upcoming weekend, we plan to see  GOOD BOYS AND TRUE  at the Towle.

If you are looking for things to do in NWI this production runs May 13-15 and May 19-22, performances at 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays. Tickets are $15.00

This production is also scheduled to run in Chicago at Theatre WIT next month!

There is nothing quite like live theater!

We love it. There are several options in NW Indiana for this type of venue,not to mention being so close to the big City of Chicago, next to Broadway, it's THE place for theater IMHO.

Last year we went to see a production of the Musical play RENT at the Radisson Star Plaza Theater in Merrillville, IN

That evening,there was a FREE Drawing and as always, we come prepared with Business Cards, so I put one in the fishbowl and proceeded to enjoy the performance.

To our surprise, we received a letter in the mail announcing we were winners!  ->

So last night, our Friday night date night, we attended the opening night performance of RUTHLESS at Towle and it was Fabulous & Funny!

What a Hidden Gem this is in a town I went to High School in!

It's a Small World !

We listed a home on Olcott Avenue in Hammond, Indiana and awhile later got a call from the homeowner a few doors down to list their home to sell as well!

For tracking purposes, we always ask when someone calls-> how they found us?

This out of state owner asked the tenant living in their property to find a local REALTOR, so the tenant remembered the home a few doors down the block was up for sale, went outside, copied down our phone number and website address from our F.C.Tucker For Sale Sign and voila!

This week we spent a few hours exploring Cabela's in Hammond, Indiana.

If you are like me and been around Hammond IN for awhile ( I am a Bishop Noll High School Graduate ), you will know that Cabela's sit on the property that once was the Woodmar Golf Course ( google maps hasn't changed yet - so thie link above confirms this :)

We enjoyed exploring this HUGE facility, shopping for some out wear, & learning alot also. The museum like education displays on fish and animals were incredible. We had fun in the arcades. Jeff even tried a Buffalo Burger for lunch at their restaurant and I bought some FRESH Homemade Fudge from their General store!

From Fishing to Camping to Hunting To anything Outdoors-> i.e. mens & womens clothing, equipment, FOOD, Cabelas  just about Has it all!

I can tell you that we will be back again to check out the deals in their Bargain Cave!
