When we moved from Lake County, Indiana (St. John) 12 years ago to Porter County, IN ....we were looking for lower property taxes, a home with some land and goods schools.
We ended up with all of that plus some...the added amenities of enjoying a beautiful year round recreational community - SHOREWOOD FOREST - and all of the perks that go with it!
Besides parks, playgrounds, tennis courts and basketball courts...there are nature trails, walking paths, and a Lake -> Lake Louise. The Community Pool and Clubhouse plus Neighborhood Sandy Beach are awesome this time of year!
If you enjoy BOATING and FISHING and Water Sports (tubing or water-skiing ) as our family does....this is a great place to live!
It's nice to live in a vacation like setting every day!
