Lighthouse Place Premium Outlet Mall in Michigan City, Indiana

Northwest Indiana has a great outdoor Mall near the Lake in Michigan City called Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets that is worth careful consideration for visiting if you are in the area!

With over 120 Stores of Brand names For Less, we rarely pay retail anymore without checking here first.

Labor Day weekend is their annual sidewalk sale where clearance prices are even more drastically reduced... ( i.e. last summer I found a Burberry Ladies sleveless cotton shirt in my size for THREE DOLLARS ).

This week we visited the outlet to do some shopping and although the weather was cloudy, the Mall was busy even on a weekday!

Should you visit this Mall - Stop off First at their welcome center picture  for a map and directory of all the shops and also visit their website to sign up online to receive notice of special events and coupons!

So how are your outlet malls, in general? We have fantastic outlet malls in Florida! But some people told me that in other parts of the country, they're looked down on, and nothing to be proud of. It's nice to know you have this one though. I think they're the best thing since sliced bread! =D

Hi Grace & Jeff, I used to shop there when I lived in Chicago.  I would stop on my way up to New Buffalo, where we would spend a couple of weeks every summer.  I bought some great clothes at the Polo Outlet.  Thanks for bringing back some good memories.

My wife and I were just at the MC outlet the other day on our way back from Michigan. We love going out there. There is so much to choose from and the down side is that we spend too much money.

Hello Lisa - this is the only one nearby - so I can't compare it to yours in FL - but business was good on a weekday if that's any indication!

Hello Barbara- Awesome - glad the post brought back happy memories! You wouldn't recognize New Buffalo - there is soo much development there. We've been to Vero Beach and it's gorgeous! not to mention the weather is much better year round.

Now that looks like my kind of shopping mall.  Not only does it have 120 stores, it has super cute architechture as well!  I love the lighthouse.  We used to drive through Michigan City all the time as a kid on our way up to White Cloud, Michigan.
