A more personal story I have witnessed myself involves an 80 year old Italian grandmother who was being told THE statistics about her chances of recovery from open heart surgery bypass pre-operatively by her Famous and Well Educated and Very Experienced Cardiac Surgeon.
Stopping him mid stream in his explanation of THE FACTS, she waived her finger at him and said "Listen here sonny.....I have my grandson's wedding to go to in 6 weeks! Now, I don't care about these numbers. Are you gonna do Your best ? If you do, God will fix the rest if he is willing! But, I need to know that YOU have a POSITIVE attitude, despite how things look!
Needless to say...Her Attitude influenced her RECOVERY !
She was up in a chair sipping soup 24 hours after surgery. Out of ICU in 4 days, out of the hospital in 8 and came back to show us photos from the wedding a few months later:)

Ginny: Glad you liked the video and after looking at it again it was dark. I will need to correct that the next time. Having a positive attitude is 90% of winning and being successful. If your clients sense you are not positive or optimistic they will feed off of that as well. So I do keep my clients positive. Tami: You hit it right on center..Why is good news not interesting ?? I have to agree. Last night after Sportscenter (LOL) I watched the news.. I counted the number of lead stories - the good and the "not so good" and with 11 stories reported ---- 1 GOOD the other 10 Negative was sad to see that in this big world only 1 good story to report..but then again that is how the media makes their money huh ? I'm sure you have. I have some clothing with the logo NO FEAR. I am in the no fear camp. I have some experience behind my belt and believe in the Bob Marley song that says "Don't worry bout a thing....cause.... every little thing... is going to be all right" In the retail business when you see a bargain you buy it! You buy low...sell high...for a profit. Basic sound economics, right? Well folks...even though property in the Grand Junction Area has not gone down in value like the rest of The Nation...sellers are scared! Scared sellers mean bargains for buyers!!!! Buyers get it‼! Bargains!
Let us look at fundamental (non Allen Greenspan or Ben B's) economics.
In an expanding market,...a market where jobs are abundant and workers are scarce, the economy is robust. When there are more renters than houses to rent...this is a buying opportunity. Grand Junction real estate fits this scenario. Economies are local. Real Estate markets are local. In the Grand Junction area due to the vast gas fields in our backyard, our economy is booming. Gas wells are being dug on a daily basis. There are not enough workers to keep up with the new leases. I have folks calling me looking for rentals. New people are moving into the area usually from depressed areas. They do not realize that Grand Junction Real Estate is not belly up like in other places. They are afraid to buy. The sellers are afraid because they listen to the boob tube. NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE ADVANTAGE!
I know there are those out there that are scouting out the bargains on Wall Street...if you are like me ...you see one, get ready to pull the trigger ...and it falls yet again.
Doesn't it make since to hop into an asset that you can touch and feel...live in or rent? If you have credit, down-payment and a good broker (you do if you use me) this is the time to jump into the market. If you cannot afford the price of admission...stay away from the contract! I needed to read your post. I heard that my favorite Title Company is consolidating their offices yesterday so my location will no longer host closings. All because of the lack of business. It hit me yesterday that we are slowing down...but after reading your post, I feel energized to go out and hit the pavement again.
I usually enjoy this time of year as we get ready for the holidays and work slows down a bit so I need to remember this too shall pass.

Off the subject I was so excited to get a reply from Grand Junction, CO - you have a KREXtv 5 News Station Affiliate there and a very close and dear friend of ours is a news reporter - Lindsey Eaton - I have known Lindsey for over 3 years now and she is doing AWESOME there.. The theme the past 3 months in our home has been - turn the TV off !
Focus on Goals and guarding attitude is a 24/7 job lately :)
